Before Starmageddon, Ralph Hertelendy and Flynn Gleason recorded as The Untouchablez. Their track “Spiritual Conception” won the Propellerheads “Prop Idol” International Music Competition in the UK — an early milestone in a creative partnership that continues more than two decades later.

Starmageddon is the San Francisco Bay Area electronic duo of Ralph Hertelendy and Flynn Gleason. Inspired by Daft Punk’s filtered disco grooves and Röyksopp’s emotional depth, the longtime collaborators bring two distinct musical perspectives into a shared creative vision. Their forthcoming debut features “Follow Me” and “Just You.”

Starmageddon began with a friendship and a shared fascination with where electronic music could go.
California natives Ralph Hertelendy and Flynn Gleason first began making music together around 2003 under the name The Untouchablez. Ralph brought his experience in trance and house DJing; Flynn brought an industrial sensibility and a background recording as Particle Junkie. Their early collaborations explored progressive arrangements and atmospheric textures, building immersive electronic worlds.
Life eventually pulled them in different directions. The music paused, but the friendship endured.
After a long hiatus, they reunited with a renewed ambition: to create music with an immediate emotional connection while preserving the complexity and adventurous spirit of their earliest work. Starmageddon emerged from that reunion.
The name evokes a supernova — a fitting image for a creative partnership finding new life. Their self-described “Sophisti-tronica” pairs cinematic scope with melody and progressive movement, tracing a cosmic search for love, longing, and connection.
Now preparing their debut release, Ralph and Flynn introduce the next chapter through “Follow Me” and “Just You.”
